Important Announcement
Due to the current and continued environment surrounding schools and educators as a result of the CoVID19, the TCSS Board of Directors voted to shift this year’s spring conference to a virtual platform. Stay tuned for more information.

The Tennessee Council for the Social Studies is an association devoted to providing information, resources, and support for all those involved in social studies education. This includes K-12 teachers, supervisors of instruction, and college professors, in the various disciplines interested in and involved in the social studies.

The TCSS is recognized as a Gold Star Council by the National Council for the Social Studies for its impressive achievements in 2018 and 2019.

​The Tennessee Council  for the Social Studies is pleased to announce Nashville has been chosen as the site of The National Conference for the Social Studies in November, 2023!  
Our very proud and hard-working Tennessee Council for the Social Studies is committed to making this the best national conference ever, with over 4,500 teachers expected!
